Palm Resource Compiler (.prc)
The PRC (Palm Resource Compiler) file extension is used in Palm OS to store applications, localized resources, and shared libraries. It is a flat file representation of a Palm OS application, containing a header, resource headers, and resources. PRC files were integral to Palm OS devices and are also used by Mobipocket e-book readers. The format was designed to facilitate the efficient storage and execution of applications on Palm devices.
