An OTP file is a presentation template created by Impress, a program included with Apache OpenOffice. These files contain presentations with master and content slides that can include text, images, shapes, multimedia content, and transition effects.
The OTP format is based on the OASIS OpenDocument standard and uses an XML format to save presentations. While various programs can create OTP files, most are created by Impress. OTP files may also be used as graph templates by Origin, a data analysis and graphing application.
