Windows Font File (.fnt)

The FNT file extension, created by Microsoft, was utilized in early Windows operating systems to store font information, encompassing both bitmap and vector fonts. Essential for rendering text in various styles and sizes, FNT files have since been largely replaced by TrueType and OpenType formats. Despite their obsolescence, FNT files were pivotal in the evolution of digital typography, laying the groundwork for more advanced font technologies.
